A burst pipe or major leak that you can't stop at the stopcock, no water at all across the whole house, sewage backing up into the property, or water near your electrics all count as genuine emergencies that need attention as soon as possible.
Sort these soon, but they can usually wait for normal hours
A dripping tap, a slow-running drain, low water pressure in one outlet, or a toilet that's running but still flushing normally are all worth booking in, but they're unlikely to cause damage if they wait a day or two.
While you're waiting
If in doubt, isolate the water at the stopcock, turn off any affected appliances, and move anything valuable away from the area. It's always better to ask and be told it can wait than to leave a genuine emergency unattended.
